Australian History Notebook

Australian History Notebook

Australian History Notebook

These pages have been created to enhance your study of Australian History. They have been designed by an Australian homeschooling family who have discovered the joys of Notebooking.

As a Mum trialing this new idea in my home, I was amazed to see my children eager to engage their creativity and make each page something special. School was becoming fun and they would look forward to adding new pages to their growing Notebook. Further, I noted my children would often flick back through their work and re-read pages, thus reinforcing and reviewing the information written. Notebooking has proved its worth.

Your Notebooking style is limited only by your imagination. There is no right or wrong way to do it.

To aid you, we offer some suggestions to help you get started:

• On some of the pages you will find a blank shape. These shapes are for you to add in your own pictures and/or drawings. You may find pictures in old travel magazines, old history books you are happy to cut up, stickers, or even the internet. Alternatively, your child may like to draw or trace pictures in the spaces and colour them in. The pictures we have used are all in the Public Domain and are copyright free, to the best of our knowledge.
• There is often a title or border that can be coloured in as well. Add whatever you think will help your child to enjoy the process and be satisfied with their results.

Versatile and practical, these pages can be used with any Australian history curriculum.
We recommend using them from grades 3-12.
