Why should you list your Homeschool Group in the directory?

As a webmaster, I receive many emails from new homeschooling families around the world looking to connect with others. They ask what is available in their specific location and questions pertaining to homeschooling in that area.

"I'm moving to Belguim. Do you know of any homeschool support groups there that I can connect with?"

"I'm going to begin homeschooling in North Carolina. Do you know the legal requirements for that state?"

By listing your Homeschool Group in this international directory you will

• Help to support homeschool families in your area


• Get noticed for free!!


• Get specific traffic - more than 1000 home educators arrive on my site daily and over 4000 pageviews per day, and they arrive asking questions. Many work through a step by step guide to design and create their unique homeschool. An important part of that is to connect with others. Those who come to you from my site are eager to find other committed families and by listing here - your homeschooling group will be found!


• Get a full web page! - which you can customize however you like! Please add as much information as you like. Tell other families about your homeschool group - why you exist, what you do, what are some homeschool field trips in your local area. Add up to 4 photos of your group or local area.
  • Many directories will limit your space, but here we encourage you to write about your group and you have your own unique webpage - so if you don't have a website, this can be your hub for updates! Add photos and logos too!


• Be featured in our Blog. Your Local Group will be displayed on our homeschool blog as well as in our RSS feed. Homeschool Groups are not hidden away on this website.


• Be interactive and post updates! You can leave comments at anytime and others can provide positive feedback about what is happening. The more comments, the more people will feel confident to contact you and join. You can add extra information, news, updates, conventions or special days - and it's easy to do!


• Able to edit. If ever you need to alter the information on your unique webpage, just send me a note and I will update the information.


• Be securely monitored. All comments and posts are monitored.


• Only need to list once. There is no need to renew, no payments needed to be included in the Homeschool Support Group Directory.


• Be found through the Search Options available - either through a Search Box or through a Geographical Listing for support groups throughout the world.

To create your free group listing, simply enter your details below. Include lots of information and most importantly your contact details. As a general rule the more information you provide (ideally at least 400 words), the easier it is for you to get found in our directory and more importantly the higher it will rank in Google.

The Directory is here for all sorts of Homeschool Support Groups, Co-ops, Homeschool Convention Planning groups, Formalized groups, and casual get togethers.

Please Note: If you add your Homeschooling Support Group in this directory and have your own website, I require that you add a reciprocal link to www.design-your-homeschool.com. When the link is active, I will review your listing and make your unique webpage, upload it to the Homeschool Blog, and RSS feed. It will be listed under the correct geographical heading and be included in the Search Box. You will be sent an email (if you wish) to let you know when your page is approved. If you do not have a website, feel free to add to the directory and add all your updates, events as need be. (this can be your own free space!)

Thesel groups can provide a place where homeschooling families can meet locally. They give support and encouragement. Some meet according to locality; Others meet according to specific interests, religious convictions or homeschooling approaches. Other homeschool groups meet to share teaching and develop homeschool co-ops.
