Homeschooling Online at Educator.com

Educator.com opens up a world of homeschooling online by making lectures available from a variety of instructors who have doctorate degrees and are currently teaching at universities.

Lectures are given by qualified instructors, several who have more than 25 years of teaching experience, and are made affordable to everyone through a monthly or yearly subscription fee. The subscription ($20 per month/ $200 per year) gives students full access to all the subjects taught at Educator.com. At this stage, Educator.com covers high school and university topics in mathematics, science, and computer programming.

Educator.com provides both the student and parent with flexibility and this homeschooling online alternative can be used as a supplement to consolidate areas of difficulty or as an entire course. Personally, I would view this as a wonderful resource library for homeschooling. Online teachers are made available 24/7 to explain concepts to our children when we as parents may struggle.

The lectures provide a visual (graphical explanations) and audio presentation (as well as detailed notes which highlight the most important points to remember) for those who struggle to learn just with a textbook. Students can search for specific topics so it does not matter if the topics are covered in a different order than their own textbook. They can also add comments or questions.
