Registering your child with the education department

by Renee Hunt
(Gold Coast)

Hi, We moved from NZ to the Gold Coast 7 months ago and have continued on homeschooling. But all along I have wondered whether I have had to register our girls (11 and nearly 15) for homeschooling with anyone? In NZ we have to apply for an exemption from attending a school.

Also, as our 15 year old is approaching school leaving years, how do we go about proving to TAFE, Universities, employers etc, that she has done the necessary education?

Thanks for you help,

Renee
