From Albury in the south, across to the Blue Mountains and over to Broken Hill in the west, and up to the north of the state of New South Wales, local homeschool groups meet to provide a place for support and encouragement.

This page is designed to help you find a local homeschool support group as well as other information providiing government requirements for homeschooling in New South Wales.

If you run a homeschool support group, (either according to location, special interests, religious convictions, a co-op or casual picnics) and would like your group to be listed, please enter your details on this Homeschool Groups Directory page. This will be greatly appreciated by new home educators looking for support on what can sometimes be a lonely road. Thanks.

Registration in New South Wales

Currently those homeschooling in New South Wales are under the 2013 Information Package which has caused a great deal of anxiety to home educators.  (Read more here.) The Select committee appointed to investigate homeschooling has met and is about to list their recommendations.

We are keen to find out exactly what homeschooling requirements for registration will be. The Board of Studies links below show the current requirements from the Board of Studies. (Nov, 2014)
