Rummy Roots -Terrific for Latin, Spelling & Vocabulary!

We've owned and used Rummy Roots for years. We love integrating games into our homeschool. I picked Rummy Roots up because it was recommended in The Well-Trained Mind, and I'm so glad I did.

We find that it is a terrific help for spelling words with Latin roots, studying the Latin Language, as well as expanding on our vocabulary in our homeschool :)

At first, we used it as a matching card game, simply matching Latin/Greek roots to their English definitions. Then we began playing the Rummy Roots game, making compound words out of the various Latin/Greek roots, at first with just two roots, and then with 2 or more. All the definitions, compound words, and game rules are included. The children enjoy playing, and so do Mom & Dad!

It's recommended for ages 8 to adult, but anyone who reads well can play it.
